Calliptamus siciliae : ウィキペディア英語版 | Calliptamus siciliae
''Calliptamus siciliae'' is a species of 'short-horned grasshoppers' belonging to the family Acrididae subfamily Calliptaminae. This endemism is only present in the south-east of France, in Switzerland, in Sicily (hence the Latin name ''siciliae'') and in the mainland of Italy. ''Calliptamus siciliae'' can mainly be encountered from July through October in dry meadows and arid environments, but also in mountainous areas along stony paths. The basic coloration of the body varies from gray to brownish. It can be distinguished from similar species by the front wings (tegmina) shorter than the abdomen ==References==
